So true. Most people didnt even notice the political message in Bad Girls, or they just dont care, because its aimed at Sauds. It was just a cool vid with cars, you know.

But you can clearly see how videos like Borders or Born Free make them uncomfortable, because they are much bolder and point fingers the oposite direction.

I really don't want to overhype myself but I am 100% she will deliver. I usually love everything she releases but the Matangi album definitely suffered under the label changes. You could really hear how she changed it and how she made it "darker". This time no one will stand in her way.

I kind of agree

She really came through. I love her discography too much to pick just one song but when she dropped Borders she definitely topped herself.

Matangi was good and even songs like Lights that some consider filler are my favorite songs by her.
Songs like YALA and maybe(?) DBT suffered under the label constraints, you can tell, but even those are great.

Lights a filler track? Never. Its one of the album highlights imho. The only filler track is Sexodus.
