Do any of you guys frequent pokemon showdown?

i used to have a team set up there and battle a lot, but i got bored with it. i still do random battles every once in a while, though.

No. Gen 1 originally had 190 and it was already confirmed that Ho-Oh was not one of them.

The same reason they showed Lucario, Bonsly and Munchlax way before Gen 4. The same reason they showed the Lati's before Gen 3. They same reason they also showed Donphan and Snubbull before Gen 2.

That was never confirmed and was said to be a mistranslation from both parties. But there is heavy evidence that suggest Ho-Oh was designed way before a bulk of the Gen I Pokemon even.

Since Rhydon is confirmed to be the first Pokemon designed it's highly supported by its Index number being 01. This list does a pretty good job at tell when each Pokemon was programmed into the game.

Also supported by Gengar, Lapras, Gastly, Gyrados, and Blastoise who all have very early beta artwork and were programmed early into the game.

I still don't understand how the mini games are draggable? Like if Pokemon isn't just a glorified paper-rock/scissors. Plus the mini games keep the player engaged. Unlike Pokemon where you literally click a move then wait. Not to mention the people who take ages to pick moves when there are like only 4 options. and the competitive scene is such garbage: you literally see the same 4 mon every team. This includes VGC. meanwhile Yo-kai gives the player more room to be creativity to win. but you're right drag the popping bubbles.

but I might of forgotten that Chess does have type advantages like the Rook being super effective on the Pawns. And how could I forget that the Queen has a 20% chance to paralyze or burn the opposing player's piece. Yo-Kai doesn't need a convoluted, try-hard, and edgee story to be enjoyable. Yo-Kai's serves real world experiences via a child's lense. Like seeing your parents fight, fighting with a friend and helping others. Meanwhile all Pokemon has served with its plot is fantasy world homos escape to, to help them cope with being bullied.
