well it's no surprise that their school system is a joke and that the only start learning seriously in college

This is not a surprise though A great percentage of American people are clueless about what's happening outside their country.

To be fair, seen countless TV shows from the US making fun of how clueless they can be about the rest of the world, because of how little is taught/spoke about.

They are self-aware in that regard.

I don't know a single country in Africa or South America (unless Mexico is considered South America I don't remember). Asia I can only do like China because I remember it's that super big one but not as big as Russia

I actually don't care that I don't know where **** is. It's not like this is 1559 and I'm the captain of the ship making a voyage to trade spices and ****? The only use to knowing where countries is saying you know where countries are. Like I have a globe in my other room and when I was a kid I would look at it sometimes and find weird countries like Hungary and wonder if they were hungry or Turkey which made me think of a turkey and be amused by that. That's literally the only time Geography has been of use for me

Well, the USA it's a world on its own. They don't know about other countries because they don't need to know. Everything the rest of the world does, the United States does it 10x times better. Why would they be interested in what's outside the USA?
If they want to find out about other cultures and such they can very well afford travelling.

And I don't believe the OP. I'm from Canada and I've heard that Americans have a world geography class or something. Here, we only have a Canadian geography class and most people know where Europe is at least.

Did that stop you from being the world's ultimate superpower for the last two centuries? I'd rather learn little but useful instead of having to learn tons of **** I won't remember or use in my life after I finish highschool.

Nice brainwash, how do they do everything better 10x when they are not #1 in anything besides when it's about negative things and are far behind many countries in terms of life quality? . And even if what you said was true. there's never an excuse for ignorance.
