Kendrick's ego has gotten too big; and his fans are even worse. He thinks he's 2Pac resurrected, and his fans think he's the savior of music and 'only people who know real music' like him, as if it's some exclusive club. Hope he gets snubbed lowkey, as Clump said, the Twitter blacks crying racism if he loses to 1989 / his fans pretending they don't care about GRAMMYs like his last era will be hilarious.
+ the album was a quick little event that failed to live up to the hype in the long-run. It doesn't need the sob GRAMMYs because good kid got done wrong.
Ya I agree with this.
And now it's this weird bandwagon thing where no matter what he releases every critic will just give it a 100.

i am also here for black twitter melting down if the lord wins
and i thought kendrick has been pretty humble and down to earth, it's really only his stans that blow him up more than is warranted
I would've liked him to be the father of my children. I mean this in both a sexual and non-sexual way.
Back to Kendrick though. It really rubbed me the wrong way when he said he named his album TPAB just for the sake of having something shocking and iconic. Still love him though.
I cant at that viner Cameron whatever taking all the attention at Calvin Klein and the collection being boring and overdone. not even Gemma and Mariacarla could save it
once you have to resort to 'vine stars' to generate buzz you know its done

What ego? Kendrick is chill. Not sure about his stans however and I can only speak for myself because I for sure don't see him as "Tupac 2.0"
And if the album was a "quick little event" & "didn't live up to its hype" then why is it still showing up in these critic mentions? Why does Alright have such impact in current social movements? The hate for it is just a vocal minority.

The "new black" concept is idiotic. Blacks expect everyone to think the same way, and when everyone isn't as wade-in-the-water minded, you're a "new black". Like sorry that others have more progressive and advanced mindsets.
I am not a wandering slave, I am a new-black of choice.
Kendrick has become the poster board for white people who don't listen to Rap to claim as their favorite rapper. I am sick of it. "My indie trinity is now complete, I can say I like The Beatles, Coldplay, and Kendrick Lamar since he's not like the other rappers on the radio and I wanna seem diverse". The way the critics gave him those A++'s knowing none of them have played his albums in the past 6 months.
Part of this is Kanye's fault though. He USE to be that token Rapper the critics loved, the indie's loved, was hailed a genius, and that was able to also be liked by Urban. Now he's ****ing up everything. Kanye was perfect, Kendrick is just ugh.
