She was pretty massive in the late 90s and even the 2000s (before the pop landscape changed dramatically).
I'd also say she's one of the most musically indept artists ever to come out of her generation (vocally speaking). Literally the best vocal composers decade or so..All Singers/musicians that have urban influence study or appreciate/respect Brandy's musicianship ..her cadence, her stacking techniques, runs/riffs, harmonic structures, chord progressions .. I can go on and on!! On top of that she has the most distinctive voice ever! Even if you're not impressive by her commercial success, one cannot deny tremendous gift. She's soo dope and underrated in these times.. While we have to endure mediocrity. It's so bad now that every wheezed falsetto and strained belt is lauded as the best on the planet😪😪
They are like a staple in R&B and even pop music and people should be educated with their masterpieces!
