It's understandable as to why the rules are implemented. It's benefiting the forum for not only advertising purposes, but being a website that can cater to a wider audience, more site hits, more money. You wouldn't be able to turn on the television during daytime and view anything regarding explicit discussions of sex, so why would this forum be any different?

If you want to talk about sex, join another forum, and talk about music, culture and politics here.

If the website isn't earning any money, there would be no use in Athens and Joseph continuing to pay for this service (server, updates, hosting, licences, etc) that we all enjoy. It's a business, and we should respect their decisions. Using this website is a privilege, not a right.

If we have to also consider laws. This website can't allow people under the age of 18 to view explicit material. Revising the rules, perhaps changing advertising, would only cause more problems. There are people as young as 11 viewing this forum. I don't think they, and their parents or guardians, want to read your comments about gay sex and whatever else.

There's SO many other websites on the Internet to talk about sex. I don't understand the importance of wanting to include such subjects on a forum about pop culture. It would simply ruin the definition and purpose of this website.

Also, we all have Walls (that are less moderated hihi) and private messaging. We are able to talk about masturbating and whatever else amongst ourselves in private, just not publicly. Be a bit smarter as to what you say and where you post and there shouldn't be a problem. 🙊
