I was more of a vSide person because the avatars in IMVU weren't able to freely walk and roam iirc. vSide was the **** though. I tried getting into SecondLife but either I experienced glitches or I didn't know how to operate it.

I always found SecondLife laggy as hell. I really couldn't get into it, but IMVU was alright if you had friends on there to chat with. Vside was definitely a lot more fun though, I agree.
IMVU always froze my computer. Vmk and habbo hotel was the true tea
Pretty much. I remember one time it managed to load and I typed "Hiya" (as in hey) and my character shouted "HI-YA!" and did a karate kick. a ****ing mess
