There's nothing wrong with making fitness your passion and posting about it on social media. It gets annoying however when people do it excessively and turn every and any topic of conversation about how they work out daily and what kind of diets they follow etc. Going to the gym and posting selfies has become more of a method to boast about how healthy their life supposedly is and how much ~better~ they're off. Basically. One of the people I live with literally talks about going to the gym all the time, he sends photos on Snapchat of himself at the gym a lot, and while I admire his pride and his confidence in himself, I can't help but feel there's not really anything he could bring to a discussion that
isn't about fitness, because that's what his whole personality seems to revolve around, and that it seems more like he's showing off and making himself out to be something he's not instead of doing it because he enjoys it and wants to be in shape.
Though turning every conversation into a discussion about _____ applies to practically anything. Like, if all someone can talk about is X and I have little to no interest in X, or nowhere near as much of an interest in X as they do, it's hard to really connect with them about it.
