Sam Smiths song does not even hold a candle to this.
That being said, it doesn't sound like a bond song. But maybe thats a good thing though? They went for the boring obvious instead of choosing something that would've shaken the formula up. I mean they chose Adele last time and could her song have been anymore dull? So often I see people refer to a track, particular bond-centric possible themes i.e. Adele, Lana Del Rey, etc, as "hauntingly beautiful" but I dont think any of them actually are. Radiohead, however, unlike the aforementioned artists is actually capable of creating music where that adjective applies: haunting.
And once again, all of that being said, its not like we havent heard this song from Radiohead before. But still. Sam Smith vs. this? Obviously Radiohead wins out where it counts --- quality.

Am I not allowed to dislike something? Because you like it, does that mean I'm supposed to? As a huge Radiohead fan, and someone who has listened to everything they've ever released, I think this is one of their worst songs. It sounds uninspired and too similar to many other recordings by them. Why would I say I don't like the song just to say it? Especially when I'm a Radiohead stan. You're an idiot.
