You should be glad that English is spoken worldwide (same can be said for several European languages). Are you disgusted by the British empire's chauvinism upon every country that it colonized?
As for the appropriation thing, to some extent it's petty. Cultures always influenced each other. In this case I could see if it was a race that was robbed of its history, language, achievements, etc. But what are y'all complaining about?
