It has pros and cons, just like any law.
Healthcare costs: While it's true that it reduced costs for poor people who couldn't afford or had access to healthcare, it was basically done on the backs of others. Instead of a system where everyone pays proportional into a system that everyone uses, the only way insurance companies were willing to accept the risk of the really poor and really sick was to raise the cost/premiums/deductibles (in some cases double and triple) for everyone else. That's why something that sounds good on paper is unpopular.
Jobs: Obamacare hasn't been the super job killer it could have been (though delays have not fully kicked in yet). But it costs money to provide Obamacare to full time employees, so some companies (like Forever 21) cut full time jobs and hired part timers for lower labor costs.
