Can Katy Perry's next album reach the acclaim level of 70 or higher? Gradually increasing her scores with each record and currently sitting at a peak of 61 with her album Prism, while other pop girls who debuted around her time like Kesha, Gaga, Selena etc. have had multiple albums or at least one in the 70s or higher. Will Katy's next era bring her in better favor of the critics?

Doubt it. She's too MOR for that. Acclaimed music pushes boundaries of some sort. Not shade because I like a lot of her music and I don't think you necessarily have to take risks to be an enjoyable artist, but these are just facts.

The majority of the record was very dated (granted, it was meant to be released much earlier, but still), it brought nothing new to the table that Avril, Michelle Branch et al. hadn't already done earlier in the decade, and the casual homophobia throughout was off-putting to many people.

Of course she can, she just have to record quality music.

Anything can happen. I believe Katy at this point will at least make the effort to not release a subpar album for the 4th time in a row, and that's all I care about!
