I was talking about the backstory of Demak that was never explained on the anime cuz of the cult things that happened in Japan that made 5D's changed its plot.

Seriously, like, you watch Zexal and compare it to the other series and it feels so not YGO. I mean, even GX feels part of YGO.

Poor Demak got snubbed so hard! The writers could've at least come up with something else for his backstory.

Don't remind me of Jack and Carly, I'm still mad with the writers completely dropping their backstory!

I second this. It left such a bad taste in mouth after amazing 5Ds. Sure, it did improve in Zexal II but the damage had already been done in the 1st part.

Zexal ha main problem was Yuma.
Yuma is the most dislikable character in YGO history. Annoying, stupid, a voice that makes you want to punch ha in the face, "kattobingu da ore!" stupidness, over the top design, bad duelist (without Astral he was literal ****), and the list could go on and on.

This + all other characters except for Kaito, Shark and Barians being irrelevant for the plot and serving no real purpose, the plot wasn't as engaging or interesting as 5Ds or DM's and it has the worst Duel choreography. That Shark vs Kaito Duel was just tragic

The duel choreography of basically the 99% of duels in Zexal was the same.
1.- Spam a bunch of monsters to summon my Monsta Exyzu (because for whatever reason they called them Monster Xyz instead of Xyz Monsters the whole series).
2.- Opponent's turn: Do the same damn thing to summon ha Monsta Exyzu.
3.- Now your whole deck becomes a Spell and Trap cards deck for no reason, and you sit in your Monsta Exyzu the whole duel until someone destroys the other player's Monsta Exyzu.
4.- Once your first Monsta Exyzu was killed, magically (literally) draw the card you need to Evolve or Revive or whatever your first Monsta Exyzu into another one that's way too ridiculously OP to win the duel.
5.- Don't forget that you must have 100LP in order to turn the tables. If you never get to 100LP you are guaranteed to lose the damn duel.
