I think we should just accept that things aren't going to change and there needs to be a separate and proper prestigious award show that allows everyone else who barely gets a fraction of a quarter of the attention that white actors and actresses get to have some shine.
With the same arguments every time. But Tyra already spilled the tea a long time ago
Point being, Oscars are and will always be irrelevant except to the small chosen elite class in Hollywood, but minorities should be given more opportunities for lead roles in films. I'm sure that they would rather receive a fair paycheck and equal opportunity over some award.
Okay but y'all mad over Stallone getting a nomination when he has yet to win an Oscar in his 40 year career. All good things come in time let this **** die!

Because he doesn't deserve one! The audacity to call Jordan's performance dull, but caping for Stallone's dry ass script reading. Y'all are so transparent and I'm tired of it.
So they're supposed to cherry pick nominees based on race and not acting ability now?
Assuming your serious I will humor you. This whole movement isn't really about the oscars, it is about minorities (Blacks are just the loudest but this also applies to latinos, asians, LGBT, etc.) being fed up with no presence at the awards. That is because of HOLLYWOOD not giving actors of those backgrounds roles in their screenplays. This is only the surface of the issue hence why I don't blame you for not getting it. The logic doesn't hold up when you think about.
The real issue is HOLLYWOOD only calling up these actors to play into stereotypes. The last three black female oscar award winning women played; a slave, a maid in southern USA, and an impoverished woman. It isn't all their fault though, Hollywood is currently a reflection of America and in that sense it has regressed on racial relations. So now when the oscars will quickly nominate any minority in a role that appeals to stereotypes, what message does it send when said actors are placed in non stereotypical, non background roles and left with nothing? that is why people are upset.

So you're saying you watched every single nominated movie? Also when did I say Jordan's role was dull? Why TF are you putting words in my mouth? Also both of them could've been nominated for the ****ing Oscar because it's in two different categories. You sound like the transparent one saying a legend doesn't deserve an Oscar after being the sole reason Jordan even got a chance to act in that movie.
