It hasn't actually sold gold, though. Gold doesn't mean anything. Turn It Up has gold cert but it's still pretty floppy. When it can actually sells all those shipments, then you can be happy. It's first week sales are going to abominable. It's been #14 in the midweeks all week. That is not something to be proud of.

Mind you, I don't like Rated R, but I like seeing her have success (because success=more albums in the future and more $$ for promo and good producers etc.. the record label). I would much prefer Rated R be in the top five of the albums chart.

Singles should go like this:

1. RR
2. Hard

3.- Rude Boy or Fire bomb
4.- Rockstar 101
5.- Te Amo

And then re-release with a club-banger.

She also should make a music video for IDAD

She or Def Jam, or both, are stupid.
She'd have a straight #1 single(s) and album, plus longevity, if she released singles like this:
1st Cold Case Love
People could connect this to CB mess, and it'd be a hit for sure, "what you did to me was a crime" and stuff.
2nd Wait Your Turn Release date would be the album's release date too, the song marks her comeback and would give her a #1 debut, both single and album, and "The Wait Is Ova" is a great promo.
3rd Fire Bomb
A balladish mid-tempo, released in January, it's a fan-favorite, could be a huge hit.
4th Rude Boy
Pop/R&B smash, very radio-friendly and catchy, a great spring single.
5th Te Amo
A summer smash that is a sure hit.
6th A heavy dance song from the re-release
7th A killer ballad from the re-release
There still hope, but they ****ed it up from the beginning.

I was a little worried about the album being too different for Rihanna and it is live, but overall the album is great. I personally feel like the singles are too rushed and I really want her to change it up like this:

1) Russian Roulette
2) Hard
3) Rockstar 101 (early-January)
4) Fire Bomb (early-March)
5) Photographs (mid-May)
6) Te Amo (mid July)

And I would have loved to have had Wait Your Turn as a single instead of promo.

Duca, "Cold Case Love" as the opening single would be terrible.
