i wanted her to at least give herself some time to grow with the fans, everyone expected a uptempo pop single to be first when we were stuck to radio that day rr premiered. this album is a sudden turnaround with regard to sound and image. adding a parental advisory sticker at 21 yr old made it worse. i dont why she and def jam tried to go the urban route. she is not urban. she is pop artist who happens to do urban music here and there. releasing hard was a huge mistake. they should have gone with rockstar 101 or fire bomb as first. and release russian roulette later.

hard is already the single, itunes downloads reflects that, which is good. i'm just waiting for airplay to kick in. also i like your way of turning the album around

You can continue imagining what you could have done if you were working for her. A disappointment since it wasn't good enough to run after her last album already ruined everything.

this album can work. i can make it work. this album is good enough to work with. trust me. my creative imagination is beyond science itself. LOL.

rihanna has enough fans worldwide that she doesnt need commercial singles to fill an arena.

If they released RR earlier, they could've said it was just the "buzz single" when it underperformed. Then they could've rush released Hard.

i would start her first international stop right after the dubai new year eve party. send her to argentina, brazil, colombia, mexico, spain, portugal, norway, sweden, switzerland etc

the UK and USA will be last stops because the singles rockstar 101, fire bomb, rude boy would be working the radios until she gets there.

what would i do? hm, well since hard is already the 2nd single (not counting WYT promo), i'd keep promoting. example, that victorias secret show or w/e coming up w/ Black Eyed Peas? Rihanna, hop on that ****. Try to perform at Rockefeller tree-lighting, show them who the naughty girl is this year. And go on air with Elvis Duran, that would actually help Hard get played on the radio! The third single should be Fire Bomb in late January, followed by Rude Boy in April/May. Te Amo can be August/September, and close of this era. She said she's ready to go right on to the next album quickly, so hopefully five singles will satisfy her this time around?

no. RR would have worked out fine as a single on its own. the timing however was wrong. calling it a buzz single because it underperformed is not a good look for rihanna because rihrih is a single artist in the USA.

no, check RR positions worldwide. as dark and moody as rr is it did well.

Agree. Rihanna's not that big in selling album in America. GGGB only sold about 2.5M after tons of re-release editions and singles in 2-3 years.

Photographs should be released at some point but not as the third single. Wait Your Turn is the next single in the UK.

I'm not sure about its PEAK positions but the effect and influence it got after months is not so good as a first single.
