tbh Inside Out's ending was too similar to TS3 so not too much.

Also TS3 had a HUGE campaign for it's nomination.

The Best Picture category can fit up to TEN nominees, there's no harm in adding a few more films. Because Inside Out and Ex Machina definitely deserved to be there.
