62 year old Runescape player falsely accused of being a paedophile, gets tormented for weeks until proven NOT guilty.
The popular Twitch streamer received death threats and a ******* of abuse – and was reduced to tears. Keemstar found a story about paedophile John Philips – and identified him as a popular Twitch streamer Tony, who uses the handle rsgloryandgold.
But the real John Philips – who married a 13-year-old in Runescape before molesting her in real life in 2001 – is still in jail, serving life.
The 62-year-old streamer received death threats and a ******* of abuse, and showed off identity documents to prove his innocence, live on Twitch while crying.
Keemstar has faced a huge backlash online, and issued an apology, saying, ‘I guess that’s because he kind of looks like the guy. But it wasn’t him.’
how terrible. this makes me sad that he was crying and trying to prove he wasn't him. he's just an old man trying to have fun, leave him alone. why are internet people so hellbent on creating negativity
I watched one of his streams before. He actually had a lot of viewers, but it was literally only because a bunch of people wanted to make fun of the old guy playing RuneScape. I feel for him to be honest. He was just minding his own business, streaming a game, and he gets attacked.
Also, someone already said it, but the RS community has always been trash.
