The Friends cast have been confirmed to reunite for a two-hour special.

Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross will meet up once again for a tribute to director James Burrows on US network NBC.

The news was announced at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena on Wednesday, with the programme scheduled to air on Sunday 21 February.

Jennifer Aniston, Courtenay Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are all expected to appear but NBC chief Robert Greenblatt admits that busy schedules may not make it possible.

“I’m hoping all six will be in the same room at the same time,” he said. “I’m not sure we can logistically pull it off.”

This will be Huge.

Lisa Kudrow was nominated for an Emmy for The Comeback, which is an incredible show with a huge cult following. Matt LeBlanc was also nominated for an Emmy after Friends. Courtney Cox has the Sceam franchise and the incredibly underrated Cougar Town, which went on a successful 6 year run. Mathew Perry has done lots of movies and appeared in many shows. The only one i'm not aware of is David.

Plus, they honestly don't need to do ANYTHING. They are a part of the biggest show of all times. They are fully respected by the industry and people go CRAZY when they hear their names.
More than 10 years after the series finale, and the internet wen CRAZY after the news of a reunion. It's been trending all day on twitter.

All 6 of them hold a very special place in my heart, and i'm sure to millions more people. I will fight anyone that speaks bad about any of the 6.

They haven't all been in the same room at the same time since the last day of filming, so if that's pulled off I'll cry.
