'I tried to reach out and be their friend': Zayn Malik says his former One Direction bandmates ignored him in spite of his efforts to make amends
He caused hearts to break all over the world when he made the shock decision to quit One Direction in March 2014.
But despite blasting the boy band's manufactured pop sound ever since his departure, Zayn Malik insists he has no hard feelings towards his former bandmates and was in fact the only one who tried to reach out and make amends.
In a new interview with Luomo Vogue, the 23-year-old singer claims that despite the boys - Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - declaring in interviews they were still friends, no one except for Liam has ever returned his calls or his texts to this day.
Their loss of a friendship honestly, but I say just move on. Focus on the people that are there for you. I've never really paid attention to any of them sans a few of their songs, but I'm here for Zayn's solo era
Zayn does nothing but talk trash about the band since he left, and now he's trying to play the victim. The other boys are right, he deserves to be ignored.
Well when you quit in the middle of a tour and go on to talk **** about the band that gave you everything (including this chance at a solo career) tf do you expect?
