I'd like to see KStew make a darkhorse appearance at the oscars. I haven't seen this movie but she was really good in Camp X-Ray. Twilight just did her wrong.
people don't know but the way she acted in twilight is exactly how Bella is in the books.
i saw camp x-ray. i'm not impressed. lots of cringe worthy moments from stewart. there is something wrong about her mouth. it's distracting and can ruin the moment. she needs to do something about it. i don't know. maybe some kind of workshops can help. now, peyman mooadi is the real deal. what an actor. but kstew has potentials. will see this film and hope she's better here.

this is for sils maria not camp x-ray. entirely different film.
The critical acclaim is there.
If the movie had been more successful she'd definitely be a shoe in.
I mean she has 3/4 of the biggest precursors along with a Cesar win for the movie. They SHOULDN'T ignore her.

they shouldn't, but they will. look at poor Carly Rae

This is the 5th year in a row that someone wins 2 of the “big 4 critics" (nbr ny la nsfc) and gets a snub anyway: Albert Brooks/Drive, Matthew McConaughey/Bernie&Magic Mike, James Franco/Spring Breakers, Timothy Spall/Mr. Turner, Kristen Stewart/Clouds of Sils Maria.
She could be like Matthew and follow up a critical breakout year with Oscar glory (or at least a nom).
Don Cheadle, Bill Murray, and Christopher Plummer had to wait awhile longer but eventually each got Oscar-nodded.
Buscemi hasn't yet but he did win a Globe and Sags for Boardwalk Empire, which is impressive too.
In the S Actress category, Patricia Clarkson followed up a year with 2 of the big 4 + an Oscar snub by scoring her Oscar nod for Pieces of April.
Early Sundance screening for Certain Women implies that the cast is good but the movie's too slow and quiet to generate much excitement, much like the director's Night Moves/Meek's Cutoff/Wendy and Lucy.
But she still has the Woody Allen and (esp?) the Ang Lee this year.
