I couldn't care less about what the issue with the reporter was but any sort of backlash they get for this OTT "we're best friends" extraness is warranted. People worked really hard on the work that ended up nominated so I think the chicanery and 'celeb' moments can be left at the door so that the actual awards are the focal point. The same could be said for Taraji and the teleprompter, but tbh I'm a bit more biased because she's at least trying to accept an award she won rather than resolve the high school popular envy that a lot of celebrities seem to let shine these days.

It's just not a good look for their organization.
