He is (or was... I don't know at this point) the executive producer of the album. Rihanna wouldn't have worked with the people she did on her last three singles if it weren't for Kanye. Kanye is the one that persuaded her to go into the artistic route. Without him, she'd be on her usual rushed era right now.
