True but each southern state still function differently. I for one wouldn't compare Alabama and Mississippi to any other Southern states as they are the literal pits.

Don't like the idea of this. Shouldn't we be making a stronger effort to get youth and society to be accepting of different kinds of people, rather than segregate them and keep them separated?
This is wrong, LGBT kids in other schools will be forced to leave their schools and friends when they face with bullying. This is not a solution to any problem.

Yes unnecessary, because segregation has always lead to people becoming more accepting right? shut up, you have no idea what you're talking about. Assimilation is the only way to remove the stigma. Being gay/gay relationships has become so much more accepted by the majority population and we shouldn't be reversing course now.
It's not segregation because they're not being forced to attend a separate school and others are welcome to attend to.
People can sing the "diversity" song, but a lot of kids are in terrible environments and need one where they can have a voice and proper attention. There have been schools/classes made for girls and charter schools aimed at black/Hispanic kids. Others are welcome to join, but it's there to be a place where they can be comfortable. And it works too. There are stats that show the girls got better grades and we're much more likely to participate. After building that base, they can transition into other environments.
I'm split on this. I think it's great because anything to the reduce the pain and suffering of LGBT members or anyone who is "different" is great, but at the same time, I'm not sure this is the answer.
