The Quran does promote violence/sexism though. It literally says IN THE QURAN that a woman needs a bunch of men to testify for her to prove she's been raped and that if she can't get it she must be lying And there are a significant number of parts calling for war/forced conversion of non-believers.

As said, Muslims are mostly peaceful people since a lot of them don't follow the more extreme parts of the Quran, but pretending those parts aren't there doesn't mean they aren't there.

Secretary for Islamic matters is getting more powerful and relentless in such a rapid pace. Again just yesterday, they ruled a biological father could take advantage of her daughter according to certain interpretations of Quran. Things are getting scary, last year there was a witch hunt in the capital against LGBT in pride weeks. This year I fear it'll be worse. I am just hoping there is a U turn for all of this.

Oh yeah, I completely agree there and I even said that. I have 0 problems with Muslim people (unless one individual does something super problematic, in which case the problem is with the individual. Not all Muslims). I'm just pointing out the Quran is hardly un-problematic like G^2 was acting. And while the bible does have some Old Testament stuff that can be kinda , it is less than the Quran does. And the NT cancels out almost all (if not all) of that stuff too.
