It was all happy emotions. It was a bit hard to adjust to having to do everything for yourself but it's such a freeing feeling. I never missed my family though, and we're on good terms and talk every week still. I get along with them much better now that I'm out of the house (and the closet) and we can talk and not have to hide things from each other.

I haven't moved out yet but I know the day I do leave will be one of the greatest days of my life. I literally don't think I'll feel sad at all

I thought I was until I realised how much I missed my home comforts. Moving out isn't all it's cracked up to be (at least not for me who doesn't have strict, naggy parents).

Yeah but now I'm back home (moved out for college) until I can afford to move out again. It's so hard being back after moving out but there are a lot of positives too so it's fine

It was kind of difficult at first, especially since I was going to a college and city I have no desire to be at, but being back home for winter break, I realize how even the city I'm unhappy living in is exponentially greater than my hometown. I'm bored out of my mind.

No, because when I move out that means I got kicked out. At 16, I got kicked out by my dad for literally the stupidest reasons like not keeping the house clean so I had to live with my grandparents. It was some orphan type ****. Then right when I turned 18 he kicked me out again, but I had to go to school so my parents ended up paying for me to live in a hotel for a month. THAT was amazing. Then he kicked me out again at 19 because I didn't have a job, but they gave me 600 dollars a month for rent wherever I wanted to live. I got a job a month after moving out but he still didn't care...he's shady AF sometimes. I was able to let him allow me to move back here and things are going good surprisingly, but probably because I'm rarely ever home.

There's tons of people in your position. Moving back in with your parents is difficult but it takes a lot of stress off both of you financially.

Hell ducking YES!! Don't over indulge in the freedom though, be attentive with your responsibilities and you will have the time of your life.

Exactly one year ago today ironically I moved out. I moved across country. Ya really hard I've isnt seen my family once since then. I needed to experience a change and I certainly did. Couldn't be happier, minus not seeing my family as much. I text and call friends and family from back home every here and there

I haven't really "moved out" but I'm in my first year of college and I live on campus, so ever since last fall, I've been away from home most of the time. Honestly, it's not really all that different except for the fact that I have to do everything by myself. The freedom is honestly about the same since I get along with my parents really well. They respect my privacy, trust me and aren't strict at all. I go home on the weekends when I have nothing to do.

Yup. I love living without family.
