i think it depends on the situation. under normal circumstances sex IS an absolutely fundamental part of a relationship... and because sexual instincs are natural, i think the problem with sexless relationships becomes the reason WHY the sex may be absent.

Yep, but you can't have a girlfriend or a boyfriend without sex, so I agree with what you said before. I think long distance relationships are exceptions though, they can work without sex.

A friend with benefits is a friend who you can **** without consequences. i.e., no emotional attachment.
