ABC has called off Adam Lambert's Wednesday morning show following his controversial performance on the ABC-aired American Music Awards Sunday night.

During that performance, he simulated oral sex, had a dancer on a leash, flipped the bird and kissed a male band member. Lambert has since defended the controversy, while ABC has fielded thousands or angry calls.

A spokesperson for ABC said, "Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning."
