There will be no monster-in-law in this case! Taylor Kinney brought his mom, Pamela Heisler, as his date to the 2016 People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, January 6, and the proud parent gushed about her future daughter-in-law, Lady Gaga.
Kinney's mom was asked about her very first meeting with the pop superstar, and it turns out that it wasn't exactly a joyous family occasion. "It was actually a sort of somber one," Heisler told Entertainment Tonight backstage. "My mother had passed away and [Gaga] came."
At the time, Heisler thought the timing was off given the circumstances, but Gaga still met the fam. "She was the sweetest thing that ever was," the mom shared. "She was a sweetheart. I loved her from the moment I met her."
