When I saw the last song set, I didn't see the hints 'cause I was on mobile and too lazu to open them. Looking @ them now... you didn't even try this time
Anyway, I love three of these, and Neon Indian are cute, I'm just getting into them. Jazmine and Miguel served, and To Pimp a Butterfly is ~12 places too low but you stan for the best sing on the album so I guess I'll forgive you
I just touched up on Jazmine's album. One of my favorite R&B albums of 2015 definitely.
Nothing but Thieves I still got to get up on that. I'm the worst when it comes to procrastination , but I like the songs though.
TPAB charted . What a potential classic it is.
Rooting for Kendrick's grammy wins
Wildheart, another excellent R&B album. We got different highlights but they're all dope either way
Neon Indian & Slumlord
Thank you Tom
Off Jazmine's album Mascara and Let It Burn are
I don't know I think I might have you beat when it comes to ............. procrastination. But, their album is good. Speaking of, I don't even think the album is out yet here officially, so take your time.
TPAB is definitely gonna sweep the Grammys that's for sure.
Hopefully your Wildheart highlights include leaves

Poot Lovato feels like an inside that i dont understand.
I agreed completely with what you had to say about Mr. Lamar. Great album, but I would call GKMC his classic.
The Poot thing was just a meme for awhile here and on the rest of the internet It was dumb, but pretty funny. I thought I'd giver her a shout-out here
I'm jealous you saw him life That's kind of how I dance.

I agree wholeheartedly with the Wildheart write-up. Is Miguel our new Ariana?
I like Kendrick's album and I'm allowed to say that because I still listen to it.
The one thing we've agrih'd on Miguel, bringing everyone together
*checks your last.fm last played song = Ellie Goulding - Aftertaste

Yeah, Jazzy balanced it out for me. I still haven't listened to many traditional R&B albus in 2015 though.
Great TPAB summ. it grew on me tremendously. Miguel
I want to check out Neon Indian again.
I loved Jazmine's album. It was refreshing.
The Neon Indian album is pretty great. Worth a revisit. Kind of a strange album though, but in a good way.

Jazmine is soooooooo underrated.
Jazmine deserved so much success. I was really blown away at the beginning of the year. I mean she sampled Darkside, and put out Let It Burn

I definitely half-assed that last set. Thanks for calling me out I figured the other sets were so difficult, if I made this set too obvious, it would throw everyone off the trail. At any rate, the Beyoncé one was my favorite.
At least I have your Kendrick seal of approval. My number one is gonna be a complete surprise though I think
This one is probably the most simple and straight-forward cut off of 25, but it hits like no other. Adele is accompanied by just a lightly strummed guitar and the occasional backing vocal. It hits hard though like an emotional wrecking ball. Adele reflects on all the things that she will lose one day, and reminiscences and regrets time slipping through her fingers quickly.
The song hit me hard this year. Friends are starting to get married, people are moving away, as happy as I am, things are always transitional one way or another, and this song was just a reminder that nothing is forever and one day I will be missing what I have now, it's kind of a bummer, but Adele sure knows how to write those; but, at the same time, it all comes with the reminder that we all should just make the most of what we have when we have it.
Like I said, this song is restrained sonically, but arguably the most hard hitting emotionally on 25 and makes the case that Adele works the best with very little. She really gave this one her all.
Note: This future #1 hasn't been released as a single yet, and neither a single cover nor audio are available so enjoy this GIF representation of the song and the interview with Adele
This is the first and only appearance of Baroness on my song list. I first got into this group with A Horse Called Golgotha sometime around the Blue album, but didn't really fully get into them until Yellow & Green which is one of my favorite albums and helped me through an almost impossibly rough patch in my life without getting into too much detail.
Purple, was released after the band was involved in a horrible accident after Yellow & Green and Chlorine & Wine was the first taste of the album. It's a very damaged song, seemingly taking place during the aftermath of the accident. It begins with a gorgeous dreamy intro, before waking up with a light drums, vaguely eerie electronics and some tentative guitar. When the singer, John Baizley comes to, he immediately calls to his nurse for help, and muses on the recovery process. Even though he's broken, and pained, as guitars and keyboards swirl and cascade around him, he finds himself resolute as the song ends with a resolute headbanging climax. It's an incredible song, and a very subtle one that proves that Baroness is more than just a metal band.
I don't know if it would make a good single though, everyone would be crying all the time

Million Years Ago... she is not on Spotify so...
Chlorine & Wine is everything. I was doing my write-up and considered making it my number one, but decided I already made my list and no regrets.
Adele Nation is out of control I think Adele just wants all her live performances to have their numbers boosted

Yes at Million Years Ago, such a great song. From the albums I love Kendricks. I've been needing to give Miguel a try as well as Jazmine.
Million Years ago hits hard. I wonder if Adele saw any dinosaurs back then
From what I've seen on your countdown, you might like Jazmine and Miguel both are solid R&B albums. Miguel's is more rock oriented and psychedelic, Jazmine's is more classically inspired.

My guess will be I Miss You
Baroness is great. My favorite metal band with Mastodon

Just from the opening beat you know this is gonna be a good one. I've said it before here and I'll say it again, the LA area music scene has been offering some great material; Norf Norf though makes you wish that this were not the case.
On Norf Norf Vince takes you through just about all of Norf Side Long Beach all within the span of about 3 minutes. He hits you with crushing detail after crushing detail, all delivered with a cool matter-o-fact delivery: "My Crips lurkin', don't die tonight," "Hit the corner, make a dollar flipping / Split the dollars with my mama children / Folks need Porsches, hoes need abortions," "Knowin' change gonna come like Obama and them say / But they shootin' everyday 'round my mama and them way," "Nate Dogg still here cause of ****** like me/ Police still scared cause of ****** like me," all lines that whip on by without you really given any time to sink in. In fact, every incredibly tight and meaningfrul line of the track builds up Long Beach and Vince's unflinching delivery makes it all feel routine and as the unquestioned way of life of the town. It's a masterclass rap track and example in story telling that unravels a little with each and every listen, delivered to a danceable beat, with a chorus of "I ain't never run from nothing but the police," that all sounds completely natural, and it's only from Vince's debut? He could be one of the greats.
There is nothing better than when a song clicks and all comes together for you. I was sitting in the library one day, writing up a paper and studying for a final at the same time and this one came on; I was listening to the album, but focusing on my work, but I just had to stop and take a listen (and re-listen).
The song almost feels like the spiritual successor to The Civil Wars and Taylor Swift's Safe & Sound (arguably the best song by both artists) and maybe it is the sequel to Safe & Sound, the Punch Brothers and Safe & Sound did appear on the first Hunger Games Soundtrack together, Forgotten is doomy folk music at it's best.
