Some of the posts in here....I'm sorry, but did she ever trash talk TF, TFM or BTW? The only things she has said about BTW in retrospect is that she's sad that the era turned into so much drama with the Madonna comparisons and stuff, and people weren't paying attention to the important message she was trying to promote.
LOL no, an artist having reservations about her earlier work =/= trashing, it means she has a brain. It's 2016, guys, Gaga's still winning, get over it.
Agreed. The best part was when she acted like it was her label's fault for ARTPOP's failure, because they didn't let her do what she wanted or whatever. Even if that's true (she's a pathological liar), it's still her fault for writing ****** music that doesn't sell.
Unfortunately she lacks the creativity and vision to create a quality album, yet she insists on doing things her way. The good news is that she can sing, so she can keep doing jazz and covers. But the pop thing won't work out for her. Not anymore.

Born This Way is the era she seemed the most passionate in. She was so happy when sharing the record with her fans and the public. I reiterate, it's probably her personal favorite out of the four.

I'm pretty sure she's aware being a part-time actress and jazz singer is not going to help her career move forward substantially. The fact that she has been extremely quiet about LG5 is a good sign in my book.
She is not in the center of GP's minds like her die hard fans want to pretend but she is in a MUCH better position now than shortly after ARTPOP.
Now, everytime she is performing people EXPECT a positive reaction to her performance and she DELIVERS.
That's a huge improvement from a few years agp when she had become a parody of herself, fashion, gimmicks, trying hard.
The problem is WHERE to go with her music, she should definitely not go back to edm-ish pop music, but she is not a ballad singer,I don't think she has the voice to make a ballad a hit(it's not the she isn't talented but her voice isn't for that)

I think she's smart in that respect, and knows what she's doing. The only thing she's released that I think was completely weird and not "her" was Jewels & Drugs, and that wasn't a single.
She's has a variety of different influences and can definitely do a lot more than EDM/Pop. A lot of her pre-Fame material was more Pop/Rock esque, some of it influenced by Queen, The Beatles, etc.
I'd love if she went in this direction...
Pop/Rock with some classic influences. That's what is so great about her writing these songs starting with just the piano and her voice, they can be arranged in so many different ways....they're great songs at their core. They aren't songs like Swine that start with an EDM track and she writes the vocals on top.
I was also so impressed by her cover of I Wish at the Stevie Wonder special...she could really dive into that funky stuff too.
She always feels the need to blame someone or something - some outside factor - when things go wrong. That's why things keep going wrong, because she can't accept that the problem comes from her, and so she can't fix it
I agree. The Psychology of Gaga in a nutshell.
This psychological description also tends to be applied to patients with significant
egos and destructive behaviours, with borderline megalomania tendencies.
it's gonna be a lot more piano driven and unplugged
her explanations for things are still really tiresome, she really just needs to learn to let the music speak for itself instead of convoluting the message with her confusing ass words
But this is the most straight forward thing she's ever said about ARTPOP and she nailed one of the reasons of why it's so flawed.

I don't think that's true at all. What she needs is what she had in 2009 - a team to take what she wants to do, and refines it and makes it into something coherent and marketable. People like Dada, Boomkack, Nicola, the help of her amazing new manager, etc. The creativity and vision are there, but they're very rough and don't translate at all to pop audiences if she's left to her own devices with total, unrestrained control.

Psych 101.

Certainly true, She wouldn't be the first celebrity who "suffers" from this disorder.
The most outstanding one in my book was Michael, towards the end of his musical career in the late XXth century/early XXIst century he blamed others for the lack of quality in his material and undoubtedly fell to self destructive behavior

Basically this! And it's not even something ridiculous like "she doesn't have pop awareness" she does, it's just that her ideas are very rough and unfocused. But her talent trumps her conceptual ideas and I also believe she will always be ahead of the game with where to go next with her career.

I think Kanye West and Justin Bieber deal with the same psychological issues that Gaga deals with. I think the difference between both of them and Gaga, is that they don't let it negatively affect their music. Bieber and West's public image may be damaged, but their music remains undamaged. Conversely, Gaga refuses to make good music, due to her behaviour.

The self-serving bias is people's tendency to attribute positive events to their own character but attribute negative events to external factors. It's a common type of cognitive bias that has been extensively studied in social psychology.
Push all the blame to others if things go wrong! (and to promote the new album)

She should definitely pursue a career in cover artistry.

Exactly. People are acting like she always belittles her early work to make her upcoming work look better, but that's just not true. This is literally the first time she's said something bad about a past project.

What are you talking about? You guys trash talk ARTPOP all the time, she can't see where she went wrong? This is literally the first time she's saying something negative about a past project, and she's 100% right. She knows the state she was in when she was making it and where she went wrong. She isn't blaming anyone else.
