Can't wait for the announcement. They own so many great franchises they could push the NX with.

I mean at the very most, it will just be a dual release. They just mentioned Zelda U in the most recent Nintendo Direct that it was still coming 2016 to the Wii U.

A dual release is very likely. I'll just buy whichever is the superior version.


On topic, most analysts DONT think NX is coming 2016.. This is one of the few who think it's comes this year. I wouldn't mind it releasing Winter this year, I've had a very satisfying time with my Wii U and it really has reinvigorated my interest in gaming. On average, it's around 5 years for a console generation. Xbox and PS3 were among the longest at 8 years, I think. And I expect the numbers to lengthened now that we're getting closer to maxing out resolution in console gaming. It's something that'll be impossible to increase within a generation or two; so generations of gaming will last years longer with a greater focus on mechanics (in my opinion). The Wii U/NX is a unique situation since Nintendo can't really afford to fall behind Sony and Microsoft if they were to wait another six years before the big three were to consider announcing the next gaming consoles; Wii U being abandoned by third party developers makes this a big issue since it means it'll lack longevity in sales to justify not releasing a new console.

They need to kill it with launch titles. I love Wii U, but her titles
