The fact that the first game had open-world styled levels, and the possibilities that we could re-experience this on PS4 hardware Because Lbr, knowing Sony it will be a remake. It's been 10 years since AE3, and probably too long to pick up where it left off.

I would love a new Ape Escape.

It tho this was going to be Crash

If Sony were smart, during a time when the Mario etc. market is low due to the Wii U, they could jump on that like they did in the PS1 days.

But no. They are taking way to long to bring back some good platforming adventure games. Hopefully Ape Escape is the start.

Crash is so basic. Fun, but like they could easily make it a mobile app and it would nearly the same.

As soon as they went with a more open level design, it became crap.

I have been waiting a ****ing decade for a sequel to Ape Escape 3 to finally come. I gave up all hope.

I shouldn't get my hopes up though.. If they're looking to celebrate this Year of the Monkey with Ape Escape, there's no way they could make a full Ape Escape 4 in a year. But even the announcement of an Ape Escape game + reviving the series is good enough to celebrate tbh. Along with an HD collection, of course.

Heck I'll even just take an HD collection. Please come through, Sony

I've only played Ape Escape 2, but that was soooo good. Excited

Ape Escape 2 and 3 are coming in HD for PS4 with trophies
They were one of the first to be done.

Also, the original Ape Escape team had a business dinner last year so it may be all falling into place

Same. I have finished each of the three games 100% and I have played every single game except that boring Ape Quest. Even the Japan only ones. It's my favourite game ever and I got the game as a late birthday present in 1999 (in July) when we finally got my PS1.
