Being from Canada I'm pretty biased but I really want to go to Australia too. Personally I pick Canada only because I get sick in intense heat and that sun would kill someone pale like me

Canada because of the lack of scary animals.

I love both. I live in Australia and I've been to Canada once in 2014 and I'm going back again this year.

We have really hot summers and semi cold winters
At least we have a wide spectrum of activities to do in Canada during EVERY season, that applies to each.
Every single city and town in Canada is built near water. Whether it's a river (which usually runs thru the town or city), ocean, or lake.
Which means you do not have to go far for any type of water-based activity.
Winter time:
- Down Hill Skiing
- Cross country Skiing
- Snowboarding
- Ice fishing
- Snow machining
- Building snowmen/snow forts
- Cities with rivers, always have amazing skating. They make it really pretty with decorations, trees etc. It's a really cute and warm welcoming feeling. The skating rinks go on for miles.
- Winter events are a blast too. Fun carnivals. Contests.
- In my city, there is a restaurant that they build completely made out of snow, it's really cool.
- I could not imagine living in a country where there is no snow around Christmas time. With houses all decorated, it's nice with the snow.
Lol @ every person who thinks Canada is "isolated" really?
You know we may be spread out, and that's a good thing. I could not imagine myself living in a small country with 40+ million residents. Which is pretty much every European and Asian country. We have CLEAN air to breathe just because of that reason. We actually have large backyards and you can actually walk around freely without feeling like you're in a sardine can. And you think we're TOO spread apart.. Right.. lol
We have 2.5 million lakes (excluding rivers and oceans) there are lakes everywhere. You do not have to travel far to do any water activity. Camping, fishing, water skiing, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, etc. Tons and tons of beautiful provincial parks. Do a simple google search to see how gorgeous our lakes are.
We have such gorgeous scenery everywhere. You have ocean beaches and mountains in British Columbia, mountains in Alberta. Saskatchewan and Manitoba are prairie provinces, but produced the pretty sunsets, rainbows, clouds you could ever imagine. Ontario has beautiful hill tops everywhere. Quebec is such a historic province.. Very pretty. New Brunswick is a mixture of Ontario and Quebec. The Maritime provinces are the same as well, but very historic. Think of it like Icelandic- old style beautiful buildings.
I could keep on going on. But I won't. I wish I had my laptop, so I could put more thought into this..

For clarification, Australia's animals are sooo not that bad! I've spent time in the outback this year and along the north-eastern coast as well as the northern Whitsunday islands and nothing ever tried to kill me. Camping in remote areas, the worst thing I saw was legit a tiny spider - no snakes, no sharks, etc. We even went swimming with crocs, like it's seriously fine!

I grew up on a farm around all kinds of deadly snakes, deadly spiders, goannas, echidnas, massive bugs, deadly fish, possums, kangaroos, dingos, wild dogs, wild cats, hares, eagles, and other weird ass **** and they were all found on one property. Nothing is really a threat unless you go out of your way to make it a threat to yourself.

Canada. If only it had Australia's weather.
Canada seems slightly more accepting and the diversity is not there (In Australia).

Canada is more progressive, less racist, and shares a border with the most powerful country in the world.

I'd love to live in Montreal because it is bilingual. Or in Quebec City. Though I've heard only positive things of Melbourne and Sydney. Both countries are very progressive!
Europe though>>>>
