I live in the US, but think 18 and over is fine.

IMO it was v fine and healthy that they/we were all drinking, there was light adult supervision and no one was out of control. I think because they grow up around alcohol it's not much of a big deal to them. In Germany even kids may have beer with dinner; it's a part of their culture and not so much of a fetishized taboo they can't WAIT to break like it is here in the US.


Also I think stupid is as stupid does; stupid kids are the ones who are going to do stupid stuff and get pregnant and whatnot, and the smart, hot, cool kids shouldn't be punished just because the trash can't handle a little juice.

You have plenty of things to enjoy as a teenager that don't involve drinking. Most people I know that were partying and drinking every weekend in high school have burned out.

It's fine for like people around 17-18 (like me) in moderation or who know their limits. Some people in my school started at like 13 and one got put into hospital because of excessive drinking A lot of my friends who started drinking at like 14/15 now have considerable drinking problems (constantly getting drunk at parties, vomiting, hurting themselves, breaking private property.)

I drink a lot even though I'm a tad lower than the legal age but I'm responsible enough to know my limits but I don't think that's a common thing in people of my age

I have a fake and its worked everywhere but honestly I think its okay to an extent. Nobody should be drinking daily for their own health and I believe students shouldn't have to be tempted 24/7 to drink instead of focusing on their studying. Go out every Friday or every other Friday. Just don't go overboard. It's also important to learn HOW to drink before you slam yourself into it when you turn 21.

The drinking age in the USA is ridiculous. 21 just encourages more lawlessness. If someone can drive and sign up to the Forces, they should be able to make the decision to drink. Moderate drinking should be allowed from 16 and then from 18 people can drink whatever amount they wish to.

Me too. I'd drink every day if I could and sometimes I drink on school nights alcohol is healthy and people are so uptight these days they need to chill and relax imo
