The only stans that wanted this looped mess as a single were the deaf ones and like the charts are showing, they should be forever ignored and relegated to american oxygen-tier stans. Thanks for making her believe that anyone in their sane mind would replay this song or even finish listening after that chorus, thanks for letting her flop like this after a flawless era. You don't longer are part of the Taylor Swift base, please look for someone else to stan, you all have been exiled.

This was the best single choice left tbh. 'New Romantics' is good, but way too overrated. It's nothing special.

Sis, what? It's Gold already and coming from a 9M-selling album WW. Nothing she randomly premiered on TV was going to shoot up the charts when all of the songs have been out for over a year and the new slew of holiday releases are taking over (see: Adele, Bieber, etc.).

Any single would be performing the same unless it were re-recorded or completely new. This is a sixth single following up one that didn't hit number one on Billboard. The last person to release an original album cut as a sixth single and as a follow-up to a Top 5 was probably Janet Jackson in the 80s. Momentum for this era was dying with the last single. And yeah, radio loves Taylor Swfit, so I'm sure this will end up doing well there no matter what.

Shania Twain released 12 out 16 tracks as singles during the Come On Over era.

I don't think people are against this because it's "flopping." It just wasn't what anyone wanted. It's a weak single choice. Everyone wanted New Romantics. I preferred NR or Wonderland or AYHTDWS. OOTW doesn't scream hit but it will obviously be a hit based on Taylor's name.
