As Nintendo did with games, it seems that whoever is in charge of the anime took notice of how Pokemon Demo was actually starting to change towards the late 10s-Early 20s and the anime is slowly starting to reflect that.
The animation particularly has improved a lot, Ash does act much More mature compared to her forever-10-Years-old persona from te previous seasons, and there are even hints of a relationship between him anda Serena.

The show has been trash ever since the original writers left. Not to mention the voice actor changes in the U.S were terrible. And I never understood why they needed to change the female character every few seasons. Misty remains the best female character even though her team was always ****.

I guess it's a generational thing though. The modern day kids like it, while the original fans prefer the earlier seasons.

Just the sound of Ash's synthetic nasally voice was enough for me to stop watching the anime. I don't know how anyone could last 17 seasons and a million movies. I'll stick to the games

Uh sorry, I did not mean to come across as rude and also sorry if I didn't got your point either . Anyway ~ They follow the same concept, sure, but then again you are the player - you are able you to make your teams, face the challenges by yourself, you actually progress, being able to reach your goals to etc - that is what makes it fun, because you are the trainer.

Now watching someone doing it over more than what 17 (?) years with barely any progress is a different thing, especially when it comes to the anime. At the first two times it may be cute but at the third time, the same concept, all over again and still losing **** starts to get annoying.
