We all know the GP isn't as aware as we are when it comes to charts, singles, albums etc. What was an experiences(s) you've had with the GP telling you something dumb?
My friend was talking about Purpose and how good it is and I was like yeah I hope Company is the next single, and she's like what do you mean it IS a single, I'm like no it's not lol, she's like um all the songs are singles
I then gave her a quick lesson on how singles are picked, when they're released etc.
Oh you mean after I told her? Yeah she was like omg I didn't know
Mess.
The few times I've explained how any of this (stan world) works, people just sit me down and tell me that this world isn't normal. I'm not contracted by Universal to take notes of any of this, nor is Lady Gaga paying me by the hour, and I'd be better of using the space in my brain for information that I do and will need later in life and not chart, artists' statistics etc.
Draaaaaag me. How am I supposed to reply to that?
One of my friends actually put this up on the screen:
then pointed to atrl and said, and this is what you're doing is it? Where are the lies?
I've seen a lot of people wondering why OOTW is on the radio. They really don't know how singles work.
Also a ton of people have said that Adele is going to win all the GRAMMYs in 2016 and when I try to explain that's not how it works they tell me I'm wrong. Cant wait for the meltdowns when they all think that Adele was snubbed.
my straight cousin back in 2010 was like "why does Lady Gaga wear all that weird make-up and outfits all the time?; naturally she is very pretty after all I think"
Generally I think people are dumb about music, especially to the extent we all here know everything. It's like music is 1% of peoples everyday lives and they don't give a ****. I'm always astounded at how much people don't know. Am I missing s/t?
People mentioned Adele's sales being huge because it was the papers.. but couldn't quote the numbers like me.
Half the "news" that comes out my mouth means nothing to people. Azealia who? I'm like, y'know 212?? Hello?!
It's not dumb, just funny imo but I used to work at a retail store, and Pretty Girl was on the playlist. One of my coworkers was like "I love Nicki on this song" and she was dead serious
"Did you hear the new song by -insert fave artist- ? It's called -insert old ass album track- "
this annoys me so much
Last week my friend was like OMG Ariana finally made a new song after all this time (the Focus snub ) and she sent me a Spotfiy link to Best Mistake. It's funny because the link went to the My Everything album and it CLEARLY says it was released in 2014
