A lot of male models are gay, though. It's just not wise to advertise your personality unless you are a major model. You have to conform to the ideal of each brand you work for, meaning, anyone who is outrageously flamboyant will not get work at Armani, while a WASPy looking overtly masculine straight white model will never get to work with Saint Laurent or any Japanese brand.
