I love Chicago and LA and could see myself moving there. New York if I was forced to.
My hometown is a Rust Belt city but still absolutely beautiful despite all its contradictions. And on top of that it has probably one of the best COL in the country. 100k is a LOT of money here.
I'd say Houston and Dallas are the most rounded for living. They have a great job market, 2 of the fastest growing US cities, cheap cost of living and offer a lot of diversity.
LA is the best, the western part of it, more specifically.
I go to UCLA which is in the Westwood/Bel-Air/Beverly Hills area and it's so nice and there's so many things to do. There's movie premieres down the street and everything. Last one I went to was for the Danish Girl and I saw Eddie Redmayne, Alice Vikander and Johnny Depp. The only downside is the price of living here, but it's honestly worth it.
Definitely not any of the cities in California, New York, or Hawaii. How are those the best when the cost of living is the highest in the country? Bye.
Chicago is cheaper and still has tons to do, especially if you live in the west loop or near west side. I want to move to that area.
Probably Chicago or Houston. And then D.C. @ the ppl saying San Fran/New York and LA. Cost of living + property values = through the roof, people literally pay thousands of dollars for a tiny room the size of a corridor
I'm from Miami but the weather is terrible so i'd never advise anyone to move here, even though it's a beautiful city.
