The amount of hits Marvel has had lately with their movies.... I mean think about. They took B-List and C-List characters (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, etc.) and made them A-List by using great actors and innovative direction. Even Ant-Man's feature film was successful. Ten years ago who would've thought that Iron Man would be as popular as he is today. And now that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has grabbed hold of Spiderman, it's basically game over.

Where is DC going wrong? Loved the realistic world of the Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel was good but besides that everything else is insufferable. The Green Lantern flick was a hot mess. Why is Flash being done wrong? Where's Hawkgirl? Ugh...With so many iconic characters there's no reason why DC can't replicate what Marvel is doing.

Why haven't they?

They seem like they've learned from their mistakes and are ready to come out on top during 2016

I think it's cause of Disney, like everything they touch turns to gold.
They've done brilliantly with Marvel and Star Wars is becoming the most insanely successful film in a very long time so yeah.

Everything released by Marvel in 2015 was bad though

I think the first movie is pivotal and Marvel got it right by casting Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man and making sure the movie script was strong enough to reconcile with the character's stans.
I don't think Dark Knight is really apart of the DC universe. It would have been an amazing launch.

They hire bad screenwriters and fail at casting. Plus WB left the whole universe to be managed by a talentless director.

Also Man of Steel was lackluster but I have faith in the next one. They seem to been doing well with tv shows though. The first two seasons of Arrow and Gotham are good.

The TV shows have no connection to the movies whatsoever other than being under the same parent company. Literally the creative minds are completely unrelated so it's really the films that should be discussed as the TV shows are just to keep us while the movies are produced.

Bad directors and not-so-talented C list actors playing huge roles never works out well. Batman vs Superman will be one of the biggest fails of all time. They just can't ever get anything right.

They weren't anywhere near as bad as Green Lantern or Superman.

Green Lantern should've been so much more. They should've made Green Lantern about John Stewart and not some basic guy.

They probably need to add more terrible wisecracking jokes.

I really feel like they're gonna smash with SS though. I think DC just needs to find their niche and build a hardcore base around that.
