that wasn't invented by atrl, it's all over the Internet lots of people noticed it and have started writing fanfic plus Oscar Isaac who plays Poe has even commented on it.

It's up for interpretation as long as we don't have any official confirmation. It didn't cross my mind when I was watching the movie, but afterwards when I found out about the theory and thought back to their scenes, I could see it. So of course there's fans hoping for it now, but I wouldn't say speculations are completely baseless.

Rey seemed to immediately dismiss Finn as a friend, and there was no indication of any interest in Poe from Finn. At this point I'd find either combination really forced tbh, maybe Poe will hit it off with Rey once they have time to interact

China better come through and push this movie to $2bn. Don't think it'll have the longevity of Avatar though so I think #1 worldwide is out of reach.

i'm not too happy with "snoke", how he looks and stuff. should be something like the old emperor again to be scarier imo.
but awesome setup for the next movie!

Ok so I just got back from watching it for the first time and let me just say it was incredible!

I have to say, the domestic record-breaking run for this seems less exciting than the one for Titanic because it was so very expected that Star Wars 7 had a great shot at beating Avatar.

Like, after opening weekend for Titanic, one box office website was thinking about "a prolonged domestic run that could see Titanic reach $150M." That's how the expectations were for the film that ended up quadrupling that number domestically.
It also hit $1.8 billion globally in its initial run - about double the previous record-holder Jurassic Park, and a number no film has gotten to besides Avatar, 18 years later.

With expectations way higher and the comparison to the reigning record-holder almost certainly being less of a whopper, it just doesn't seem like the same kind of Event of a Lifetime.

i'm super late but i finally saw it yesterday and absolutely loved it.

somehow it caputred the feeling of the OT with a modern feeling.

the movie was just super exicting to me and never boring. except for that part in the millenium falcon when the aliens/monster appeared and killed all these guys while Ray and Finn were hiding underneath, that was a bit of a meh scene imo

kylo ren was super exciting as he is still such a conflicted character. also that one scene you know which one was so beautifully shot, when the sun disappeared
