How did she humiliate herself when she sent the vote to deadlock and let America choose who should stay or not? The only people that humiliated themselves are those that blamed Nicole for that, and send her even death threats for something that was completely out of her hand, instead of actually voting for Rachel to stay in the competition.

Simon did the EXACT same thing a few weeks prior, where he couldn't decide who to vote off so he took it to deadlock. But of course no one had a say at the time, because it was Simon. But all hell broke loose when Nicole did that to Simon's contestant. X Factor is SIMON's show. What Simon wants, Simon gets. If Simon doesn't have his way, he's going to make sure you pay for that.
People just like to hate on this poor woman and make her out to be a bad person. She was crying her eyes out, she was devastated. Does that sound like a bad person to you?

If only Simon let her be herself during the first season of X Factor USA, she would have been BRILLIANT, as proven by X Factor UK. It was also her first time as a full time judge so she was new to everything. And Nicole is quite sensitive, so that didn't really help, especially with the whole Rachel Crow incident.
Simon bullied Nicole throughout the entire season. Nicole held her own at times, but she didn't shine like she should.
