There's no way this will be a sales hit because it's attached to a 5x platinum album. Her album sales have cannibalized the potential for any single transactions. So in that sense, its iTunes position doesn't matter.
She will never be able to pull a Katy and rack up an absurd amount of single certifications from one record. With a single this deep the best we can hope for is great airplay and a viral video.
I like the video! It's definitely top three of the era.
My only complaint is that her videos are consistently hollow. Polished and beautiful on the outside, but they don't really make me feel anything in particular. Which is weird because her music has the exact opposite effect.
