or it's people whose group of friends/family members don't all have the same devices and group message capabilities
or it's people with friends/family members who don't even have a phone or texting
or it's people with friends/family members who are out of the country
or it's students who want an easy way to communicate with a group that can be quickly turned off and on or adjusted (ie. GroupMe and other such things, including WhatsApp)
I'm really confused as to how this thread essentially turned into people who don't use these judging and fighting with people who do use them, for whatever reason?
The fact peoples lives are in shambles over an app not working is disturbing to me.
Why is the fact that they can't communicate with family and friends disturbing? they're trying to make plans for new year.

Whoever is saying WhatsApp is for kids is a dumb **** who needs to shut the **** up. WA is used globally, it's not like kik, WA uses your phone number and is integrated into your phone as a native SMS app.

I mean, there are other free options out there like Facebook Messenger but people here are being over the top (as usual) and can't see beyond their own noses. We get it, some countries don't offer the same services but like I said there are other options, it isn't the end of the world just because one app stopped working for a few hours, like OMG

I'm trying to say people can use whatever suits them, there's pros and cons for both but IMO Whatsapp is better
