Yes all the time. It's super convenient especially if your starting location isn't somewhere taxis would be close by. Or when you're leaving somewhere downtown and everyone is sprinting for a taxi.

i'm in nyc, so yes, all the time. it's pretty much as expensive as a cab though here, but just for the convenience factor.
