Katy's alter is more known due to TGIF music video which was a huge hit (?) + Gaga isn't really as recognizable as Jo than Katy is as recognizable as Kathy.. But Jo has more 'iconic' worthy moments I guess. And Jo as an alter ego>>>
Joe was one of Gaga's weaker ideas, and was a disaster of a VMA performance (arguably when the GP started to jumped ship), I remember watching it with all my straight friends and family, and they were just confused, bored and texting the entire time.
Kathy was a goofy idea that worked and helped get Katy another #1 hit, she didn't need magazine covers or award show appearances to sell it.
