Speaking of Reborn, I love it. I know I was talking with some of y'all about how annoying these Shonen's are but I can forgive this series, this one time

I do think it's a disgrace what the production studio has done with some of the episodes though. I'm on Season 5, and episode 132 is RIDICULOUS. Literally 12 damn minutes of actual new content. 12!!!!!! minutes for a whole episode not counting the long ****ing recap, opening credits, ending credits and that awful non-canon skit nonsense they do at the end of episodes sometimes. Like i literally can't at this being acceptable. The comments on crunchyroll under the episodes KILL me

I took a month break from Gintama and started watching it again recently, and now I can't stop. It's so addicting. The characters are all so great.

I almost dropped it, not because I didn't like it, but because I'm not really into episodic anime and I didn't understand a lot of the references/parodies.

I do want to start one punch man finally since it ended though, but I can only watch one anime at a time for some reason and I hate having to take breaks from anime.

YASSS, Gintama is just so loveable and perfect for binge watching! I hate things that are episodic too, but the occasional arcs more than make up for it. Also don't feel bad for not getting all the references, alot of them are from Japanese culture/history so its fine if some go over your head.

The second half of Steins;Gate was such a trip! I'm really excited for Steins;Gate 0, whenever that is coming out. It's supposed to show a world line where Okarin couldn't save Kurisu i.e. the same Okarin who sent that video call

The CGI could've been a lot worse, I'd glad they used it to animate everything rather than throwing it in at random parts. Ajin's story is great anyway, I'm so ready for Kei x Kai

I think a significant part of this issue is how the writers decide the rest of the imagined world reacts and interacts with the stereotyped character. Lussuria in Reborn is depicted as a flamboyant queer man that makes unabashed advances on some of the male characters. Outside of the obvious hyper feminine qualities and exaggerated animations/drawings qualities, there are characters that insist on pointing out how "weird" he is. Now, that's not as bad as some series that will label these characters as outright "gross", but I think it's damaging to the LGBT community for people to take in this information and learn the subtly ignorant association between homosexuality and "weirdness".

If these reactions were more positive towards stereotyped characters, I'd feel better about them

I agree. It's only tolerable if there is additional positive representation.

I still can't get over how cruel Maria and Mamoru's deaths were. They were ****ing offscreened while the viewer (and Saki) initially thought they actually escaped... I can't.

Ajin looks cute, I'm looking forward to it. Berserk's new adaptation is a mess and unnecessary since it's going to be another remake by the look of it.
