You're probably right. I think her insecurities might have played a role as well. I remember Debelah Morgan back in 90s/00s. Girl sang and her whistle register was paid dust because Mariah was the most notable. She even got into Guiness World Book of Records for it.

However, I think if Nicole pulls that stunt, it might be appreciated rather than being slammed as a copycat. At this point, she shouldn't care what people say. It won't hurt her any further than where she is regarding her solo career..

I don't think Nicole is the one singing the part in whistle register in "Let Me Know." I'm pretty sure it was Ana Maria. Speaking of Eden's Crush, you guys should definitely download the album. As a whole, it's better than any PCD album and the vocals are great.

And speaking of Debelah, I'm pretty sure she was ignored because she was a one hit wonder most people weren't really familiar with. When I was young, I honestly thought it was a Jennifer Lopez song.

Well, the public isn't aware of random critics praising her. They know about that stuff when the mainstream media covers it and they're spoon feed the topic. As for new comment admitting that she's talented, but releases crappy music, that's just another excuse. They find any excuse to undermine her.

She needs to focus on "serious" music now because the pop music audience is not interested in her. The "serious" music will also make people take her more seriously and let the public know she's a talented vocalist. Well, assuming the public actually hears it.

So, where do people get this idea that she can whistle? I agree. The Popstars album is great. I think 'Love This Way' is my fav off the album.

Or maybe they don't acknowledge her versatility as an artist. It can swing either way.

Yet her Facebook posted random crap, even during Christmas...Do we know who manages her social media? They should stop posting the random stuff or actually plan it realistically, because this is contradicting.

I'm sure they are genuine, but I think it's still an excuse because they just don't want to like her. They don't want to give her a chance, but it's Nicole and her marketing team's job to fight that. Unfortunately, I don't see much of a fight.

As for those people saying she should sing classical music instead, I highly doubt they'd go out of their way to buy her music even then.

I'm pretty sure outsiders are hired to manager social media so it's probably her record label and/or her management trying to promote other people using her followers. I guess they have no hope for her?

Like you once said, if Nicole was managed by someone like Matthew Knowles, her career would be totally different.

I think Trey Songz, Bow Wow, Chrisette Michele's fb pages also promote weird & random articles. I'm glad her posts don't appear on my feeds.

Happy New Year fellow Killer Lovers( i know its still early). May 2016 bring you happiness, success and most importantly, great health for you and your family.

I think we should prepare for 2016. I have a feeling Nicole is going to OWN it. She might not have released any music in 2015, but i think this year was one of the best for Nicole. From her critically acclaimed performance in Cats, to her Olivier nomination, to her success with TV shows, both in the UK and US, winning I Can Do That, performing at the 4th of July, performing with Andrea Bocelli.
I think this year has been the most important for Nicole, because a lot of people are slowly starting to appreciate her and her talents.
I was just watching Jamie's video In Love By Now, where Nicole is in it, and there are so many comments talking about Nicole, how they are excited for her new music, or they should collaborate. I honestly think after I can Do That and Best Time Ever, and with some high profile interviews, the US is slowly warming up to her.
