She’s always been pretty controversial, so the fact that Madonna has come out on top in a poll of the most shocking moments of the year isn’t particularly surprising.
However we’re guessing this particular moment is one she’d rather forget.
The iconic popstar’s dramatic Brit Awards stage fall has been named the most jaw-dropping showbiz story of the year in Channel 5’s annual round-up show.
Madonna’s performance went horribly wrong during the ceremony back in February when she failed to untie her cape before her unaware dancers yanked it off her.

Plenty of performers fall onstage. Caitlyn's public transition was much more shocking but this is a U.K.-based outlet and Madonna did fall at the Brits, so it's understandable that she'd rank #1.
Madonna falling was hardly shocking for many reasons. I doubt whoever wrote this actually thought that that was a huge celeb moment. The top spot definitely goes to Caitlyn.
So much for shocking.
